FCC Tokyo is a mobile application for the Franciscan Chapel Center in Roppongi, Tokyo. This policy describes how we handle your information.
Parish account (optional): If you sign up in the app, we store your name and email address, the ministries you join, and the Mass places you take or are given. We send a code to your email address to confirm it is yours. The parish office sees your name, email address and ministries so it can approve members and arrange the schedules. You can use the app without an account.
Messages you send: If you write to the parish through the app (for example an OCIA inquiry), we keep your name, email address and message and send them to the parish office.
Push notification tokens: If you enable notifications, we store your device token to send you updates about Mass schedule changes, parish events, and announcements. You can disable notifications at any time in the app settings.
Language preference: We store your language choice (English or Japanese) locally on your device.
Donation information: Donations are processed securely through Square. We do not store your payment card details. Square's privacy policy governs payment processing.
We do not collect your location, contacts, or browsing history. We do not use analytics or tracking tools. We do not sell your data or share it for advertising. We use service providers only to run the app: Cloudflare (hosting and storage), Resend (sending email) and Expo, Apple and Google (delivering notifications).
The app may request audio permissions as part of the notification system. We do not record, store, or transmit any audio from your device.
Parish administrators may upload photos when posting daily messages. Regular users are not asked for photo access.
App preferences are stored locally on your device. Account details and push notification tokens are stored on our server (Cloudflare). Push notification tokens can be removed by uninstalling the app or disabling notifications.
You can delete your account at any time in the app (More › Parish Account › Delete my account) or on the web at fcc-tokyo-api.camanse-j.workers.dev/delete-account. Deleting removes your account, your name and email address, your ministry memberships, and any Mass places you asked for that were not yet confirmed. If the parish has you on a schedule, your name stays on it until the parish office changes it. You can also write to fccpastoral@gmail.com.
This app is intended for the general parish community. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
